STEM FW26: Power in Coherence

A first in my ever developing fashion career is the Copenhagen Fashion Week this season. I’ve always wanted to see what the north brings to the cutting table and at Stem I held the scissors myself.

The presentation this season consisted of a wool workshop entangled in a runway event. While models strutted down a concrete hall, guests had the opportunity to engage in a trinket making session.

The idea however simple was impactful bringing the coherence of the collection and the creative direction to a close knit.

Personally, I think emerging designers have all to benefit by being clear in their message, visual as well as tangible.

An almost fully yarn collection came down the runway in striking silhouettes. And while I could argue that some shapes would have been better suited in different fabrics; I always try to remember to judge a show in accordance to the brand’s intention.
